It seems TechieNET site is almost stable now. For last few weeks I have been experimenting with different CMS systems. Since I wanted to host it with an economic hosting provider, I didn't look any thing other than a PHP based system.
After the experiments, I decided to choose one amoung Joomla and drupal. Both of them gave me good experience at first.
Comparing Joomla and Drupal
CMS stands for content management system. An importand functionality of any CMS would be to provide flexible and powerful content organisation capability. Joomla lacks just that. It's much simpler than drupal, easy to set up and customise. But when you start working on adding and organising the content, you 'll most probabily move away from that, just like I did. . But if you need just a small site like a personel home page or a corporate site, Joomla will be the best.
Drupal is much complicated and joomla if you want to extend. But power in simplicity will not work always. As the system requires power and flexibility, it becomes complicated.
